Rick Ramstetter
I enjoyed my time in academia. Here is some memorable academic work from that era. My Degrees M.Sc., Computer Science, Rutgers University, New Brunswick B.Sc., Computer Engineering, University of California, Irvine Applications and Security of Next-Generation, User-Centric Wireless Systems Publication in an open-access journal, MDPI’s future internet. Date: 2010/07/28 Abstract: Pervasive wireless systems have significantly improved end-users’ quality of life. As manufacturing costs decrease, communications bandwidth increases, and contextual information is made more readily available, the role of next generation wireless systems in facilitating users’ daily activities will grow.

Some pictures from my amazing hikes on the AT and PCT are below. A few words of wisdom for any would-be thru-hikers: slow down. Enjoy the people, the trails, and the places. Your biggest risk is finishing your hikes too fast. Appalachian Trail, 2014 I thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail. (Georgia to Maine, approximately 7 months.) The Appalachian Trail, also called the A.T., is a hiking trail in the Eastern United States, extending almost 2,200 miles between Springer Mountain in Georgia and Mount Katahdin in Maine, and passing through 14 states.
